ONLINE RECORDING (with count in for students to play along/record with at home)

How to Record Yourself and Submit:

Important Points:
·         Audio recordings only (no video please)
·         You will need two separate devices and headphones
·         Students must record themselves playing the correct speed (see below)
·        submit your recording via email by October 8 to your Band Director lucia@teachingservices.com.au or maddison@teachingservices.com.au
How to record yourself at home:
1.       Learn your part well enough to play along with the audio track for Bandroom Boogie
2.       Listen to the audio track through headphones and play along with it so that you are playing at the correct speed
3.       Use the ‘Voice Memo’ app on iPhone (Samsung Voice Recorder or similar on Android) – no fancy microphone required
4.       Find a quiet moment in the house – the best room is one with plenty of soft surfaces (bed/doona/carpet/curtains)
5.       Don’t point the instrument directly at the phone, angle it away for the best sound (about 1.5m away)
6.       Make sure when you record that we can only hear your instrument (we do not want to hear the backing track)
7.       Listen back to your recording before submitting to make sure you are happy with it
How to Submit:
1.        Your Voice Memo/Voice Recorder app should have a ‘share’ button which will allow you to send the file as an email attachment directly from the app.
2.        Email the audio recording to your band director lucia@teachingservices.com.au or maddison@teachingservices.com.au
3.        Make sure you include your child’s school, name and instrument in the file name or email subject eg. CHPS/John Smith/Clarinet
