Thank you for the organising an amazing string showcase, the performance was outstanding. As Chinese would say ‘ 繞梁三日’ which is ‘the beautiful sound resonates in the beam (ceiling)for three days’. Bravo teachers! – Parent

“My daughter performed in the band last night at school and it was a wonderful performance. Congratulations to yourself and the team!  When my daughter started the band program, she could barely make a “pleasant” sound when playing the flute, and last night was a testament to the hard work, dedication and excellent teaching skills of your team. We are extremely proud of our daughter, and her love of music that is inspired by the wonderful teachings of your band program. Congratulations again.” – Parent

“Our daughter is very excited about Training Band. She has grown in confidence and is very keen to practise and continue to improve. Thank you for providing an environment where she feels comfortable, supported and encouraged. The flute is not an easy instrument to learn. We just want her to feel happy and experience some success around learning her first musical instrument and that seems to be the case at this stage. Thank you.”  – Parent

“As it’s our last week or so at the school, I wanted to contact you to thank you for all you’ve done with band at the school over the years.  Bringing TSA to the school was, I believe, the best move that the old band committee ever made.  Your band program is so well run and you can be very proud of your achievements.  It has been wonderful watching the band programs growth.   I can only imagine the challenges that 2020 brought to TSA.  Here’s to 2021 – it is looking more and more positive.  I wish you all the very best.” – Parent  &  Band Committee Member

“I wanted to email to say thanks for managing this very challenging time well. The teacher has been amazing! She has helped the kids adjust to the new conditions and has done her best to ensure that they still enjoy attending practice lessons online. She is always so positive and happy and has always made my son feel at ease. It mustn’t be easy for you all however you have done such a great job. We are looking forward to face to face lessons.” -Parent

“I just wanted to say thank you for the update. And also thank you for all the amazing work you and all the tutors at TSA have been doing this year. With the constant changes that need to be made with how you run things to keep things safe. I am especially grateful that you all have worked so hard to keep the band program going as best as you can. It has been a highlight to continue to have music whether through zoom or  in person in a year where there is not a lot to look forward to all the time. The opportunity to connect either via digital technologies or in person has been a valuable tool to support mental health.” -Parent

“Thank you for persevering through the struggles of COVID-19. My son who is in Year 3 absolutely loves learning his instrument and especially loved being included in the band this term. Since beginning to learn to play the clarinet his reading has improved along with his confidence. He just loves being part of something bigger than the classroom. So from my family to yours, we would like to thank you.” -Parent

“Thank you. This is a fantastic update and as I’ve only just read the new government schools advice.  I’m amazed at how quick your response has been to these changing guidelines and their impact on wind instruments. I think the idea of a rhythmic tuition for the kids this week is brilliant and much needed. A hearty pat on the back to all TSA for the great work and excellent parent communication.” -Parent

“My son logged in yesterday and watched some lessons. He found them wonderful. Learning from home has SO many challenges but I just wanted to send this note because his time on his sax is one thing that’s really bringing him some pleasure at the moment and it’s lovely to see him enjoying learning something (as opposed to maths, writing etc). I have attached a video of what he learnt yesterday from the online instructions. Many thanks for your hard work. Take care and stay safe!” -Parent

“It was fabulous to sit in on [our son’s private Zoom] lesson on Friday to hear the things that you’ve been focusing on and to actually observe him interacting with you. Thank you for all the organising and dedication.  It’s great to hear a clear focus for him for the coming week with his homework. Thanks for that.” -Parent

“I just wanted to say a big thank you to all TSA staff and volunteers that helped to make the Band Camp such a great success. My son, who was the only student from his school, was initially apprehensive at being alone, but was made to feel welcome by his fellow trumpet players and felt included in all activities. He said the camp was “Awesome” and is hoping to attend again next year. He has already told his school friends how great it was and is hoping to convince them to come next year too. Again thank you. The work you do with the children is fantastic.Parent

I just wanted to say thank you for a great band camp. This was my daughter’s first camp and she had a wonderful time. I was really impressed with how much they did and the high level of performances. Please thank all the helpers and teachers. I know how much time and effort goes into planning these events. It is appreciated and we thank all of your team for taking the time out away from families and normal routines to provide the band camp experience for the students. Parent

I just wanted to express my thanks to you and your staff for all you did to ensure the children had an amazing weekend. [My son] was on a high last night reliving the events and he was so proud to think he was part of a band that played 4 new songs learnt in 2 days. It was also a joy to watch the enthusiasm of all the staff as they played with the children after what would have been a long weekend. Please keep on doing what you currently are. [My son] has learnt so much this year and has enjoyed being a part of the band. Thank you for instilling a love of music in him, this is such a gift. -Parent
