About Oboe
One of the least common band instruments and not available at all schools. The oboe often plays the melody (main tune) along with the flutes.
Things to consider
- Usually requires individual tuition and is not available to learn at all TSA schools (check with your band director or TSA office before enroling)
- Requires fine motor skills and strong embouchure (lip muscles)
- Instrument and accessories can be expensive so please contact the TSA office about options to source more affordably
